The Crossover Retreat ("Crossover," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide when you visit our website (the "Site") or submit your email address through any form on the Site.
Information we collect
We collect only the information you voluntarily provide. This is limited to:
- Your email address, submitted through forms on the Site
- Any additional information you choose to include in inquiries sent to us directly
- Basic, non-identifying technical data automatically collected by our hosting provider and analytics tools, such as browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government-issued identification, or any other sensitive personal data through the Site.

- To send you the Crossover briefing, partnership information, event updates, and related communications
- To respond to inquiries you initiate
- To improve and maintain the Site
- To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
How we share your information

Sponsor and partner information sharing
From time to time, with your explicit additional consent, we may share aggregated or specific subscriber information with retreat sponsors or partners. We will not share your personal information with sponsors for their independent marketing purposes without your separate, informed consent.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), gives you the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Right to know what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.
Categories of personal information collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (email address); internet or other electronic network activity information (basic analytics such as browser type, device type, referring URL, pages visited).
Sources: directly from you, and automatically from your device when you visit the Site.
Business purposes: communicating with you about the Crossover Retreat, responding to inquiries, operating and improving the Site, and complying with legal obligations.
Disclosure: we disclose the categories above only to service providers (e.g., email, hosting, and analytics vendors) bound by contract to use the information solely on our behalf. We have not "sold" or "shared" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA in the preceding 12 months, and we do not knowingly do so with respect to consumers under 16.
Retention: we retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the communications you signed up for and for related legal, accounting, or compliance purposes.
How to exercise your rights: email partnerships@basketscapital.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your request by matching the email address you provide against our records and may request additional information to confirm your identity. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf in accordance with CCPA/CPRA requirements.
Shine the Light: California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
Other U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws — including Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), Montana (MCDPA), and others as they take effect — may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, and opt out of certain processing of their personal data, including targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. We do not engage in targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising.
Nevada residents
Nevada residents may direct us not to sell certain covered information to third parties. We do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law, but you may submit a request by emailing partnerships@basketscapital.com.
International / EU & UK users
The Site is operated from the United States and intended for U.S. audiences. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing are your consent (for email communications) and our legitimate interests (in operating and securing the Site). You may withdraw consent at any time and have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of these signals, we currently do not respond to them, but we honor the Global Privacy Control signal as described above where required by law.
